Description:Oneida Professional Services (OPS) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Research Analyst in direct support of the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis and the Economics Department at the United States Military Academy, West Point. OEMA conducts research for publication in peer-reviewed economics journals and to support policy decisions of senior leaders in the Department of Defense. Recent former analysts have enrolled in top Economics PhD programs, including the University of California—San Diego, Boston University, Notre Dame, and the University of Pennsylvania’s MD-PhD Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). This is a full-time position, ideally starting in Summer 2026. Key Responsibilities: Work with PhD economists to conduct empirical research on topics in labor and public economics using administrative data from government, non-profit, and private sources. These include, for example, data from the Army, Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs, Social Security Administration, credit bureaus, and the National Student Clearinghouse. Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:Must be a US Citizen Bachelor’s degree in economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related degree. Ability to work with large datasets, have an appreciation for and experience with empirical research, and have an interest in pursuing graduate-level economics or policy research in the future.
