Small Diameter Pipe Torch Cutter

The Small Diameter Pipe Torch Cutter is responsible for accurately cutting small-diameter industrial and agricultural pipe using an oxy-acetylene or similar torch system. This role ensures that all cuts meet quality and safety standards while supporting production schedules. The position operates in a non-climate-controlled shop and requires physical stamina for lifting and handling materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate oxy-acetylene or similar torch equipment to cut small-diameter pipe to specified lengths.
• Follow precise measurements and specifications to ensure accurate cuts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of cut pipe and scrap material.
• Inspect cut pieces for quality, straightness, and compliance with standards.
• Assist with material handling, including lifting, moving, and staging pipe as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe torch handling procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Support other team members with fabrication and production tasks as assigned.
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned

• Previous experience operating torch cutting equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Basic understanding of pipe types, sizes, and cutting methods.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, including Saturdays as required.
