Job Description
Position Summary
The Roll-Off Box Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of a roll-off truck to deliver, exchange, and remove open-top containers at customer sites. This position requires routine heavy equipment operation, frequent climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate roll-off truck to deliver, pick up, and exchange containers at residential, commercial, and industrial locations
- Safely maneuver truck in tight spaces, construction sites, uneven terrain, and high-traffic areas
- Properly tarp, secure, and transport loads in compliance with DOT and company safety requirements
- Inspect vehicle daily (pre-trip and post-trip inspections) and report maintenance issues immediately
- Complete required paperwork, driver logs, and delivery documentation accurately
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
- Maintain cleanliness of truck and equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Comply with federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A as required by equipment)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate heavy vehicles and hydraulic equipment
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to safety and surroundings
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required
Physical Requirements
This position is physically demanding and performed outdoors.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
- Frequent climbing in and out of truck cab
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and walking on uneven surfaces
- Ability to climb on and off containers to secure tarps
- Ability to work in extreme heat, cold, rain, mud, and dusty conditions
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving

- Exposure to noise, dust, debris, and varying weather conditions
- Construction sites, landfills, and industrial locations
Attendance Requirements
- Regular and predictable attendance required
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required
