Job Overview
This position will be in a warehouse type environment as a General Laborer. Work is indoors in a cleaning room. Position is primarily responsible to prepare and clean electric meters and covers in order to prepare them for lab testing.
Responsibilities may include:
· Working with grease dissolvents to clean metal and glass parts of electric meters.
· Working with commercial cleaning equipment (dishwasher type device).
· Occasional forklift work may be possible.
· Proper disposal of non-working electric meters.
· Remain knowledgeable of and follow all safety rules, procedures, and practices.
Experience
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on warehouse equipment
- Strong physical ability for standing and performing repetitive tasks
Hiring Criteria:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to: standing, walking, bending. Standing is required for long periods of time.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position will require pre-employment background checks and drug & alcohol testing. It is also subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
This position will work 40 hours per week and will have the option of working (4) ten hour days with possibility of occasional overtime. On-the-job training will be provided.
$16/hr. Complete benefit package available for full-time employees.
