We are seeking a Front Desk Administrator / Junior HR Assistant in Hanover, MD.

Job Details

We are seeking a proactive and organized Front Desk Administrator / Junior HR Assistant to manage front office operations while supporting day-to-day HR activities. This role is ideal for a candidate at an early stage of their career who enjoys interacting with people, handling administrative responsibilities, and supporting HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Administration:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
  • Maintain visitor logs and ensure office security protocols are followed
  • Coordinate meeting rooms, office supplies, and basic administrative tasks
  • Support general office operations and coordination

HR Support

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes (documentation, orientation coordination)
  • Maintain employee records, files, and HR databases
  • Support HR initiatives, employee engagement activities, and internal communications
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of HR-related information

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in front desk, administration, or HR support roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Professional appearance and customer-service mindset

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Basic understanding of HR processes and labor compliance
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the HR function

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.

Salary : $49,997 - $290,004
