As a Host in our legendary music and entertainment venues you'll be the first friendly face guests see, setting the tone for a memorable visit rooted in hospitality and the power of live music. You'll greet guests, manage reservations and waitlists, and escort them to their seats while creating a welcoming atmosphere. Our venue thrives on upbeat energy, where live performances and excited crowds keep the vibe electric. As the ideal candidate you are personable, organized, and love making every guest feel like a VIP.
- Greet guests promptly with a sincere welcome.
- Manage incoming guest flow. Estimate and communicate wait times, and guide guests to appropriate areas (e.g., tables, waiting zones, or retail sections).
- Maintain waitlist to maximize service efficiency. Communicate ongoing logistics such as wait time, large parties, special events, etc. to restaurant management.
- Escort guests to tables, present the menu, and wait for guests to settle before leaving the table.
- Maintain clean and orderly food service environments during operation and after service. Follow sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies in public areas and back of house.
- Support basic front-of-house service needs. Deliver food and beverages to table and pre-bus as needed.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance, training, and company policies.
- Thank each guest for their visit and invite them to return in a friendly and sincere manner. Promptly communicate any guest feedback and concerns to management.
- Attend pre-shift meetings. Perform defined opening/running/closing duties.
- Model company service basics. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- Experience in restaurant operations preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks with efficiency and composure
- Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support business needs
Licenses / Certifications
- State Food Handler Safety Card required upon hire
- State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire
- Non-Gaming Work Permit Card required upon hire
Physical Requirements
Speak and hear to communicate with guests and use both near and distance vision for operating the POS system. Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Frequently climb stairs throughout the venue. Regularly lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and occasionally sit, kneel, bend, and reach. Manual dexterity for tasks such as using a computer.
Working Conditions
Restaurant/bar/live music environments, subject to both kitchen and customer areas, with large crowds and elevated noise levels.
