What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback (Part Time/Seasonal) - Ascend Amphitheater position at Opry Entertainment Group & Ryman Hospitality Properties?
As a Barback in our iconic venues, you'll keep our venue fully stocked and bar operations running smoothly. You'll stock and clean the bar and perform related tasks to increase the efficiency and productivity of the bartending team in a high-volume, music-fueled environment. As the ideal candidate, you're fast, friendly, and focused, understanding that every shift is about delivering unforgettable experiences. Reports to Manager of Food & Beverage.
- Stock and ice carts, coolers, and satellite locations based on par levels for events. Restock ice bins, beverages, kegs, plasticware, etc.
- Keep all beverage storage areas clean and organized at all times. Assist with inventory, product rotation (FIFO), and date labeling to ensure fresh products are readily available for preparation.
- Attend pre-shift meetings. Perform defined opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
- Communicate daily entertainment and upcoming events in venue.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance, alcohol awareness training and company policies.
- Keep the bar area clean and organized, cleaning spills, and floor and guest facing areas clear of debris. Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles. Make sure trash receptacles are clean and odor-free.
- Follow sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies in both public areas and back of house.
- Assist with setting up and tearing down special events, including tables, chairs, and other equipment.
- Comply with all company issued steps of service. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.

Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- 1 years' related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Basic computer and mathematical skills required
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs
Licenses / Certifications
- State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire
Physical Requirements
Speak and hear to communicate effectively and use near, distance, and color vision to process inventory. Stand and walk for extended periods, while carrying items. Regularly lift/carry up to 50 lbs., and frequently sit, kneel, bend, and reach to move goods. Manual dexterity for tasks such as using a computer and handling merchandise.
