Opportunity Matters, Inc., in Sartell, MN has an open position for a Maintenance Technician I, and this role is in a setting in which this position will be maintaining homes.

OMI has 19 residential sites (adult foster homes) throughout the St Cloud area. Duties are to receive work orders and perform tasks such as lawn care, snow removal, projects within remodeling or constructing homes, daily repairs and maintenance at homes, painting, vehicle repairs/maintenance. Installations, repairs, and troubleshooting may include areas of minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. This position works cooperatively with the supervisor to complete work orders.
Education/Experience
H.S. Diploma or equivalent and 6 months of related work experience.
Certificates and Licenses
Must maintain a valid Class D driver’s license in compliance with Organizational insurance driving guidelines.
Must successfully complete DHS Background Study.
Physical Demands
The tasks of this position generally requires duties to be performed by:
· Frequently lift and move up to 20 lbs. above shoulder height, 30 lbs. to shoulder height, 80 lbs. to waist height unaccompanied and up to 150 lbs. to waist height with team assistance.
· Regularly sit/stand/walk for duration of shift.
· Frequently required to stoop, climb (ladders up to 20’ high), kneel, or balance on ladders, platforms and slippery surfaces.
· Coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach with arms.
· Use of close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
