Job Title: Director of Employer Engagement
Reports To: Director of Programs
Location: Antioch, CA
Terms: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours/week)
Salary / Rate: $62,000 - $95,000 annually
Classification: Salaried, exempt position
Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional evening and weekend work. Hybrid, flexible schedule with requirement to be in office 4 days each week.
About the role:
The Director of Employer Engagement is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with employer partners and contributing substantially to employment outcomes for our employment programs. They also serve as an ambassador, both externally with employers and within Opportunity Junction, as a champion for effective employer partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Arranging meetings with potential employer partners to market employer services; suggest staffing strategies, and connect OJ participants to their open positions
- Working with staff to incorporate employer feedback into the programs;
- Working across teams to develop appropriate marketing materials for all employer offerings;
- Using Salesforce to track opportunities and outcomes;
- Representing Opportunity Junction at Chamber and other community events through attendance and formal presentations; and
- Managing our Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator and Job Developer.
- Create and present job readiness workshops to ACT, CNA, and MA students.

- Technology: Computer-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, email, and web applications, including the ability to learn to use Salesforce for data entry and outcome tracking;

- according to current organizational priorities and situations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills with ability to calibrate for a variety of audiences. Ability to communicate effectively via email.
Candidate Requirements:
- Any combination of training and/or experience that has developed the position’s key competencies.
- Prior experience in a sales or for-profit business environment is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce preferred, but not required.
- Ability to travel to events throughout East Contra Costa and the Bay Area as a whole.
- Ability to attend events scheduled across a broad range of hours, including early morning and evening commitments between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM.
