UCT is looking for a talented Inventory Control Specialist II to join us in Phoenix, AZ!
The Inventory Control Specialist II ensures the accuracy, integrity, and availability of inventory by managing controls across purchased and manufactured materials. This role oversees inventory programs, cycle counts, and reconciliations while analyzing data to improve inventory turns and meet corporate goals. It partners with Purchasing and Operations to resolve discrepancies, manage ECN impacts, optimize inventory strategies, and coordinate product transfers across manufacturing sites, supporting efficient operations and sound financial performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages inventory programs, including inventory estimates and analyses, maintenance of metrics tracked, reporting to management, and resolution of inventory issues that arise.
- Pro-Actively increases turns by customer product and meets corporate goals.
- Provides recommendations for purchasing strategies, inventory disposition, and inventory management.
- Bird-dog POs from a macro level for over-commits, cancels and push outs.
- Actively Manages the cycle count program, reconciliation, metrics and outside audits.
- ECN control and disposition follow up for affected material.
- Final review and reconciliation of work order variance and closure.
- Coordinates product transfers to other company manufacturing sites.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong presentation skills at all levels.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles, procedures, and standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Strong Excel and Access skills.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP system – Visual a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment across many levels of the organization, and on inter-site basis.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/equivalent experience.
- APICS certification preferred.
Experience Requirement:
Work Experience:
- 3 years inventory analyst experience. Cost accounting experience strongly preferred. Manufacturing experience as scheduler or planner a plus.
- 2 years parts Process or related experience.
