⚙️ What You'll Do:

• Assist senior welders in setting up equipment, preparing weld surfaces (cleaning, grinding, cutting), and positioning materials.
• Under supervision, perform basic welding functions using common techniques such as MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) on various metals (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
• Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures.
• Clean and maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas daily to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Cut and grind metal pieces to ensure proper fit and remove excess weld, slag, or spatter using hand and power tools.
• Adhere to all company and OSHA safety guidelines, wear appropriate Personal Protective
• Equipment (PPE) at all times, and attend mandatory safety training sessions.
• Inspect workpieces for defects and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

🎯 What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong desire to learn the welding trade and a willingness to commit to a multi-year apprenticeship or training program
• Previous technical training, vocational school coursework, or a certification in welding is a plus.
• Basic understanding of shop math (measurements, fractions, geometry).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and stand for long periods
• Prior experience with basic hand tools and power tools (e.g., grinders, power saws).
