Senior Process Engineer
Location: 203A Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville, MD 21666-2128
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000/yr
Hydrasearch is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to lead the development, stabilization, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing methods. This role is responsible for the "how" of our production—taking complex engineering designs and turning them into repeatable, high-quality manufacturing plans.
As a senior member of the team, you will own the Product Structure (BOMs & Routers), drive Root Cause Investigations, and lead the integration of new equipment and product lines. This is a high-visibility role requiring a blend of technical mastery in machining/assembly and the leadership skills to mentor cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do:
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to company, industry, and safety standards, including familiarity with quality systems like AS9100 (preferred).
- FAI and PPAP: Lead and coordinate the execution of FAIs and PPAPs, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Operational Support: Provide engineering support to ensure efficient and reliable plant operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
- Vendor Support: Review, evaluate, and approve vendor samples, ensuring they meet technical specifications and quality standards before incorporation into production.
- Quality Support: Partner with quality assurance teams to monitor product quality and assist in identifying and resolving quality-related issues in production processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).

Experience: 4 years in a production engineering role, specifically supporting machining, metal fabrication, welding, or mechanical assembly.

Systems Mastery: Strong experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage product structures and a deep understanding of engineering drawings/GD&T.
Preferred Qualifications:

Quality Frameworks: Experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 regulated environments.

Advanced Quality Tools: Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple process-improvement initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
