Description
Opportunities, Inc. Student Apprenticeship Program, in partnership with local school districts, is designed to provide high school students with diverse abilities with the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on work experience in a supportive, structured, and integrated work environment. Apprentices will be introduced to basic fulfillment center, packaging & assembly or warehouse tasks and supported by trained staff to develop workplace skills, confidence, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with order packing, sorting, and labeling items
Help organize inventory shelves and storage areas
Participate in basic cleaning and maintenance tasks
Work alongside team members to prepare shipments
Learn and follow safety procedures and workplace routines
Receive on-the-job training and mentorship
Support & Accommodations:
On-site job coach or mentor for guidance and daily support
Adjusted tasks based on individual ability and strengths
Clear instructions with visual or written aids as needed
Scheduled breaks and flexible pacing
Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in a high school, special education, or transition program
Demonstrates willingness to learn and participate in team activities
Able to follow simple instructions (with or without support)
Good attendance and punctuality
No prior work experience required
Skills Gained:

Additional Information:
This is a learning position with the goal of building future employment readiness
