As a Host Home Provider, you’ll open your home to an individual with disabilities and provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where they can grow, build independence, and truly feel at home.
You’ll be paid a daily rate while working from home—creating a unique opportunity to combine purpose with flexibility.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a vital role in supporting day-to-day life, independence, and personal growth.
Daily Living & Life Skills Support
- Teach and model essential life skills like cooking, cleaning, and home organization
- Support budgeting, decision-making, and problem-solving
- Encourage healthy routines and independence
Companionship & Community
- Spend meaningful time together (games, TV, activities, conversation)
- Encourage physical activity like walks or exercise
- Support social engagement and community involvement
Care & Support
- Provide behavior support as needed
- Assist with transportation to appointments, school, or programs (based on client needs)
- Ensure a safe, stable, and positive home environment
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete timely notes and monthly reports
- Maintain accurate documentation (including Axis system entries)
- Attend required meetings and team huddles
- Complete all required training and certifications
Home & Program Requirements
- Client must have their own private bedroom
- Up to 3 clients per host home (household members count toward this ratio and must pass background checks)
- Reliable transportation required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
