About the Role
Are you passionate about driving manufacturing excellence and innovation? We are seeking a proactive Plant Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing equipment and processes. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership:
- Partner with the OPTIMAP team to design and realize new manufacturing equipment and processes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, project specifications (costs, timing, quality), and HSE/ergonomics standards.
- Lead all CAPEX improvement projects related to manufacturing.
- Process & Equipment Development:
- Oversee equipment handover to the plant, including performance line balancing and training for plant teams.
- Validate machines according to P-FMEA, control plans, and ergonomics studies.
- Fine-tune and validate manufacturing equipment at supplier workshops and ensure smooth transfer to plant teams.
- Update feasibility studies and technical choices as needed.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive technical improvements in manufacturing technologies and participate in lessons learned for ongoing projects.
- Support all manufacturing improvements for serial production parts using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
- Participate in capability validation for new program launches and equipment development.
- Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work with EPM, MPM, and extended teams on the conception of manufacturing lines and tools.
- Support technical choices to improve processes (MPM/EPM/SPM/PQL).
- Ensure all necessary documentation is validated for new parts added to manufacturing processes.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to and promote HSE and ergonomics standards and rules.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, process validation, and equipment commissioning.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
