As a IT Spec (Platform Engineer/Infrastructure Architect) at the GS-2210-13/14, you will be part of Office of the Chief Information Officer, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will design, implement, modernize, and govern enterprise platform, cloud, automation, and infrastructure capabilities that support secure, scalable, resilient, and reusable IT services across the agency.

Qualifications:

- Developing or maintaining automation, configuration management, infrastructure as code, policy as code, or deployment pipelines for infrastructure or platform services;
- Implementing or supporting container platforms, orchestration environments, monitoring tools, logging tools, observability tools, or telemetry tools for assigned systems or services;
- Applying cybersecurity, identity and access, system hardening, vulnerability management, or secure software supply chain practices to platform or infrastructure work; and
- Troubleshooting platform, infrastructure, integration, performance, or reliability issues and recommending corrective actions for technical review.
- Designing or implementing enterprise platform, cloud, hybrid cloud, or infrastructure architecture solutions that align with technical requirements, standards, and organizational objectives;
- Developing or implementing automation, configuration management, infrastructure as code, policy as code, or deployment pipeline solutions for enterprise platform or infrastructure services;
- Integrating container platforms, orchestration environments, monitoring tools, logging tools, observability tools, or telemetry tools across platform or infrastructure environments;

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise platform environments across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud infrastructure.
- Support AI-enabled platform capabilities, including model deployment, inference, operational integration, and related infrastructure services.
- Develop and maintain automation, infrastructure as code, policy as code, and configuration management solutions.
- Implement container platforms, orchestration environments, monitoring, logging, observability, and telemetry tools.
- Apply cybersecurity, Zero Trust, identity and access, system hardening, vulnerability management, and secure software supply chain practices.
- Provide technical recommendations, guidance, and implementation approaches to stakeholders, developers, system owners, and project teams.
- Perform troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, reliability improvements, and continuity or recovery support for platform services.
