Job Summary – Install HVAC equipment interfaces (sensors, actuators, dampers, valves) and support mechanical system start-ups tied to Building Automation controls.

- Mount and wire temperature, humidity, pressure, and flow sensors on AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and exhaust systems.
- Install damper and valve actuators; route control tubing or cabling as required.
- Perform minor piping modifications (condensate drains, hydronic bypasses) to accommodate new controls.
- Coordinate with Electrician and Programmer teams during point-to-point checks and functional performance tests.
- Verify airflow/waterflow settings and help balance systems per TAB reports.
- Ensure tools, materials, and job-site housekeeping meet OPIX safety standards.
- Vocational certificate or apprenticeship in HVAC or Refrigeration.
- EPA 608 Universal refrigerant certification.
- 3–5 years commercial HVAC installation experience; familiarity with DDC-controlled equipment and sequences of operation.
- Ability to read mechanical, control, and P&ID drawings; basic laptop skills for controller interface a plus.
- OSHA 10 (minimum) and confined-space/lock-out training within 30 days of hire.
- Lift up to 75 lbs; work in tight spaces, rooftops, and occasionally hot or cold environments.
- Regional travel with periodic weekend or off-shift work during cut-overs.
