We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Retail Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our team on a part-time basis. Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selection, providing information on our features and sales/return policies.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items or promotions to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Support supervising staff in training new team members or overseeing daily store operations when required
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures in a retail store environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse situations
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and pricing adjustments
- Excellent customer service skills combined with patience, attentiveness, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques such as upselling and cross-selling
