About Opici Wines & Spirits: Named “Importer of the Year” by Wine Enthusiast, Opici Wines & Spirits is a dynamic importer and producer of fine wines and artisanal spirits from around the globe. The portfolio consists of nearly 50 brands that are available nationally. Founded in 1913 and fully family owned, management of the company is now in the capable hands of the fourth generation.
The Position: This full-time; flexible/hybrid marketing position will function as the brand champion of several priority brands in the portfolio. This role will be responsible for leading key projects and initiatives for these brands to drive growth, increasing overall brand awareness, and executing brand programs/plans. Classic brand management responsibilities will include working across cross functional teams, strategic planning, evaluating creative, developing brand plans, and owning business analysis as part of P&L management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Own and deliver the annual strategic planning process. Lead the development of breakthrough consumer and trade centric programs
· Ideate and execute effective national marketing strategies in coordination with key business objectives and with ROI at the forefront
· Create best-in-class programming and sales collateral to keep brands top of mind
· Work closely with sales to develop trade driven initiatives with a focus on expanding brand presence and distribution, develop tools for tout investments for these initiatives to leverage opportunities with wholesale partner
· Develop and foster brand identity and ethos for many of the OWS proprietary brands, including NPD
· Work closely with in-house creative to develop brand identity and keep tone consistent on all creative materials
· Liaise with suppliers and act as the first point of contact on all brand matters including brand health
· Work cross functionally to develop commercialization strategy with key stakeholders, closely tracking project deadlines and keeping all parties, including executive leadership, well-informed of necessary details
· Closely manage brand budgets, supplier billing, and overall P&L
· Lead the analysis and reporting of market and competitor trends to identify salient business issues/opportunities, working with divisional sales/marketing teams as necessary
· Manage new brand launches, pack refreshes and assist with innovation projects
· Vet potential new opportunities including agency brands, new categories, etc.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
· A minimum of 7 years relevant experience in BevAl space or consumer goods marketing
· Relevant brand management experience needed
· Project management, data analysis, budget management a must
· Exceptional communication and writing skills with strong attention to detail
· Proficient knowledge and use of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
