About The Role
As a Central Scheduling Assistant, you’ll play an important role in keeping our patient scheduling operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll support both patients and team members by ensuring appointments are accurate, communication is timely, and workflows stay organized.

What You’ll Do
Administrative Support
- Process incoming faxes and manage outgoing mail
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
- Update patient demographic information in scheduling systems
- Make outbound calls to confirm and remind patients of appointments
- Assist with rescheduling when needed
- Respond to online appointment requests
- Support inbound calls during high-volume times (Mondays, Tuesdays, and post-holidays)
- Protect patient privacy by following HIPAA and internal policies
- Ensure accurate handling of medical records
- Partner with Central Scheduling and Contact Center teams to create a seamless patient experience
- Help train and support new and existing team members
- Assist with additional tasks as needed
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic computer skills preferred (Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, or EHR experience a plus)
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality
