Job Summary:
OPEX Corporation is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Installation Manager to oversee the successful deployment of advanced automated storage, retrieval, and conveying systems. This is a high-impact, highly visible role where you’ll play a critical part in bringing complex systems to life from early planning through installation, commissioning, and full operational handoff. We’re looking for a confident leader who thrives in fast-paced, technical environments and enjoys solving complex challenges. This remote position requires 50% travel both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee installation, commissioning, integration, and final system handoff to ensure successful project completion.
- Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve overall installation processes.
- Work closely with engineering, project coordinators, installation teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with customers by providing expert guidance and support throughout the lifecycle of each project.
- Plan and allocate labor, materials, and equipment needed for successful installation and execution.
- Perform site surveys to evaluate feasibility, identify risks, and proactively solve challenges before installation begins.
- Visit and support active installation sites, ensuring high-quality execution and resolving issues in real time.
- Ensure smooth ramp-up into production and successful handoff to service teams.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing installations in material handling, conveying, or industrial automation environments
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering on time and within budget
- Technical understanding of automated systems and electromechanical equipment is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, including remote personnel
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams
Work Environment:
- Working on a job site during active installations of advanced automated systems
Salary Range:
- $75,000-$80,000/yr, depending on experience and qualifications
