Salary Range: $78,000-$85,000

Non-Union:12 months staff

Foxborough Regional Charter School District (FRCS) is a unique and diverse school serving students from across Southeastern Massachusetts. Approximately 1500 students and families come from urban and suburban communities and represent various backgrounds, ethnicities, and experiences. Job Summary:

The Community and Operations Coordinator is a key member of the FRCS Outreach and Operations teams responsible for coordinating student transportation, managing community event logistics, and supporting outreach and enrollment efforts. This is a highly visible, outward-facing role focused on logistics, coordination, and follow-through across three areas: student transportation, community-building events and activities, and outreach and enrollment support.  

 

 The Community and Operations Coordinator works closely with the Director of Operations and collaborates across the operations department and all three schools to support day-to-day operational needs, ensuring smooth, efficient, effective, and responsive operations. The coordinator also works in partnership with the Outreach and Communications Manager to ensure close alignment on messaging, timelines, and FRCS strategic priorities.

 

This unique position focuses on key areas at FRCS: community-building events and activities, student transportation, and outreach and enrollment support, with a lens on helping families navigate the admissions and enrollment process in a timely and effective manner. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining clear, professional communication with families, staff, and vendors. He or she must have strong social media and digital marketing communication skills to support outreach efforts to attract and retain family engagement and FRCS visibility across multiple platforms. The successful candidate must have experience in scheduling and managing content across multiple media platforms, ensuring clear, effective communication that reflects FRCS's mission, strategic plans, and goals. 

 

As the Community and Operations Coordinator grows in the role, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities within the Operations Department and across the district, based on performance and organizational needs.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Outreach and Enrollment Coordination

  • Support the Outreach and Enrollment team with transportation logistics, facility needs, and operational setup for prospective family engagement and recruitment events.
  •   Coordinate logistics for outreach events, including scheduling, space setup, materials coordination, and on-site support.
  •  Serve as a point of contact for operations-related questions during the admissions process and support timely follow-through with prospective families.
  •   Assist with preparing operational materials related to enrollment, including transportation information, schedules, and campus logistics.
  •  Track and support follow-through on prospective family engagement, helping ensure inquiries, applications, and event participation are coordinated and completed.
  •  Support basic outreach communications, including updating materials, assisting with website content, and helping ensure information shared with families is current and accurate.
  •  Assist with social media and communication efforts as directed, including posting content and supporting outreach-related updates.

Event Coordination (Operations Point Person)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Operations Department for community and school-based events across all three schools, supporting the execution of family nights, student recognition events, seasonal celebrations, and schoolwide programming.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to support the success and execution of yearly family nights, student recognition events, midyear, and yearly celebrations, and other districtwide events 
  • Coordinate event logistics, including space setup, equipment, catering, and vendor needs.
  • Work with event owners to ensure logistics are aligned, and expectations are clearly communicated and executed effectively.y
  • Provide the same level of operational coordination for recruitment events led by the Outreach and Enrollment team.

 

Student Transportation

  • Coordinate day-to-day student transportation logistics, ensuring safe and efficient operations across approximately 18 bus routes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for transportation, communicating with families, vendors, and internal staff, and keeping the Director of Operations informed as needed.d
  • Address routine transportation questions and adjustments, and bring concerns or more complex issues to the Director of Operations.
  • Maintain accurate transportation records, including applications, route assignments, and ridership data.
  • Support the coordination of field trips and special transportation programs as needed.
  • Partner with Special Education staff to ensure students with IEPs and 504 plans receive appropriate transportation accommodations

 

General Operations

  • Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date records across all functional areas.
  • Support the Director of Operations on time-sensitive needs and assist the Operations Manager on cross-functional projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations team and other departments to ensure communication, coordination, and follow-through.h
  • Support facility rentals as needed by coordinating logistics, communicating with renters, and ensuring spaces are set up and ready for use

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Three to five years in school operations, transportation coordination, admissions, outreach, customer service-centered, communications, or executive administrative support preferred 
  • Strong social media, digital communications, and content management experience required. 
  • Superior knowledge of managing platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Canva, and other communication or content management scheduling platforms is strongly preferred.d
  • Experience working with vendors and supporting follow-through on service expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience coordinating events or managing logistics
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through with consistency
  • Commitment to the mission of urban public education
  • Strong collaborative working style with the ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and contribute to a team that shares work and holds each other accountable
  • Experience in K12 student transportation, including familiarity with routing software such as Transfinder
  • Background supporting outreach, enrollment, or recruitment operations in a school or nonprofit setting
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

  • Current authorization to work in the United States 
  • Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a full-time, year-round position based on the FRCS campus in Foxborough, MA. The Community and Operations Coordinator is expected to be on-site during school hours. Occasional evening availability is required for events. Early morning availability is not typical but may be required in response to transportation needs or school closures.

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

The majority of work is performed in a school or classroom environment, which usually has a moderate noise level. Regular attendance is necessary; absences should be rare and in alignment with district attendance and punctuality standards.

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch. The teacher is periodically required to stand while talking and listening. The teacher is occasionally required to sit, walk, lift, or carry.
