Skilled Part-time Laborer (Grounds Maintenance)

POSITION TITLE

Skilled Part-time Laborer 

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
2. Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
3. Must possess a valid Arizona State Driver’s License or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required.
4. Must exhibit good heath, adequate strength, literacy, and citizenship.
5. Must be dependable and reliable.
6. Understands and recognizes desired maintenance standards.
7. Must be safety conscientious.
8. Able to lift 50 pounds.
9. Must be familiar with hand tools.
10. Ability to work without close supervision.

Building or Department Administrator

JOB GOALS

To provide all students with a physical learning environment that is safe, clean, and pleasant at all times.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Works cooperatively with staff and students of the school grounds and buildings.
2.  Assumes primary responsibility for the safe condition of school housing, grounds, and buildings.
3.  Performs maintenance in the following areas: grounds, carpentry, plumbing, and painting in housing and buildings.
4.  Practices safety factors and good housekeeping.
5.  Operates vehicles in a safe and responsible manner at all times and obeys all school traffic signs.
6. Respects all matters regarding the Federal, State, and District policies and procedures.
7. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Part-time and timesheet basis at Grade 3, Step 1 and Non-exempt status position.  The Governing Board will establish work year and salary.
