Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provides nursing services to patients in an outpatient, substance use disorder treatment setting. Completes nursing assessments, patient evaluations & screenings, dispenses & administers medications, and provides patients with healthcare education. Works with all members of the Treatment Team to coordinate patient care.

- Performs beginning and end of day check lists to set up and secure end of day mobile unit requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma / GED required
- One year of experience working in the medical and/or behavioral health field preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS:
- CPR and First Aid certification to be completed within six months of employment
- Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to write accurately and legibly
- Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers
- Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute.
- Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach
• Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
- Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
• Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds
• Good hearing and vision
• Ability to drive mobile unit

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Treatment program / mobile treatment facility / county jail environment
- Exposure to individuals who may be experiencing emotional distress or agitation
- Possible exposure to patients with communicable diseases
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must pass a level II background check (https://info.flclearinghouse.com) and drug screen.
