Operation Empower is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our recovery housing and support programs. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities, staff coordination, and service delivery while maintaining alignment with our mission and values. The Operations Manager will manage administrative processes, coordinate program logistics, and support compliance with regulations, fostering an environment where clients and staff can thrive. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about addiction recovery, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Compensation: Starting at $50,000 annually, with potential for increase based on prior experience.

Shift: Day Shift (typical hours between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM; exact schedule to be confirmed).

Operations Manager Job Duties

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Operation Empower’s recovery housing and support programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.
• Manage facility operations, including maintenance, safety, and compliance with Iowa state regulations for recovery housing and social service agencies.
• Coordinate staff schedules, training, and resource allocation to support program needs, including collaboration with case managers, counselors, and therapists.
• Monitor and manage budgets for operational expenses, working with leadership to ensure financial sustainability and effective resource use.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including health and safety standards, licensing requirements, and client confidentiality under HIPAA.
• Maintain accurate records for operational activities, including facility logs, staff schedules, and program metrics, and prepare reports for leadership or funding agencies.
• Coordinate with community partners, vendors, and service providers (e.g., maintenance contractors, local recovery groups) to support program operations.
• Monitor program performance metrics, such as client satisfaction and housing occupancy, and recommend improvements to enhance outcomes.
• Respond to operational challenges or emergencies, such as facility issues or client crises, with timely and effective solutions.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and recovery-focused environment for clients and staff, ensuring cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to diverse needs.
• Assist in grant reporting and compliance by tracking operational data and coordinating with program staff.
• Represent Operation Empower in community outreach or networking events to strengthen partnerships and promote the organization’s mission.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization’s strategic goals and operational needs.

Operations Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, social work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in operations management, preferably in a nonprofit, social services, or recovery-focused organization.
• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic recordkeeping systems, or budgeting software.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including clinical and administrative staff.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
