We believe in a future where everyone has the resources and support needed to thrive.  Job SummaryOperation Empower is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our team as either full-time or part-time based on the candidate’s preference, delivering impactful therapeutic services. This role focuses on providing therapeutic services to clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, helping them achieve emotional well-being and sustainable recovery. The Licensed Therapist will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions through individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Ideal candidates are empathetic, culturally responsive, and dedicated to supporting clients in addiction recovery, with the flexibility to meet program and client needs. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use needs, using tools like the ASAM criteria.Develop and implement individualized recovery plans with evidence-based practices like CBT or Motivational Interviewing.Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to support addiction recovery and mental health stability.Provide crisis intervention and connect clients to local Dubuque resources, such as recovery groups or housing programs.Collaborate with local organizations like Hillcrest Family Services for holistic client care.Maintain confidential client records in compliance with Iowa regulations, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.Engage in community outreach to promote recovery and mental health awareness in Dubuque.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.Iowa licensure as LISW, LMHC, or LMFT.1 years of experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, Motivational Interviewing) and trauma-informed care.Commitment to obtain Iowa Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire.Familiarity with Dubuque’s community resources or willingness to learn.Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite. What We OfferStarting salary of $75,000 , commensurate with experience and licensureDental insurance, vision insurancePaid time off (PTO)Paid HolidaysAdditional benefits discussed at the offer stage Operation Empower is an equal opportunity employer, and we warmly encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply, as we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
