Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.
- Understanding of Integrated Logistics Support Management principles, concepts, and methodology as applied to projects.
- Knowledgeable of the principles of planning and techniques for analysis and evaluation.
- Providing logistics personnel with expert guidance and assistance in the resolution of program support issues critical to quality vessel and shore logistics support.
- Recommending solutions when difficult issues or problems arise, or when major exceptions or changes to existing or establishment of new polices are involved.
- Influencing, motivating, and challenging others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations.
- Understanding the organization's financial processes; preparing, justifying, and administering the program budget; overseeing procurement and contracting to achieve desired results; and monitoring expenditures and uses cost-benefit thinking to set priorities.
NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

Responsibilities:
You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist and be responsible for serving as a supervisor of shared supply support services to the project lines involved with logistics, equipment and inventory management specialties.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Reviewing logistics support documents which pertain to inventory management, configuration changes, property management, etc.
- Supervising Contracting Officer Technical Representatives (COTR) for logistics initiatives under the cognizance of the Product Line Division Manager.
- Investigating logistics and logistics data management support problems reported by afloat and ashore activities.
- Reviewing proposed or approved regulations, requirements, planning documents, orders and similar materials.
- Monitoring logistics data management projects to assure appropriate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) managers are aware of the impact on end users.
- Coordinating and serving on logistics implementation and assessment teams.
