Position Summary:
The full-time Maintenance Technician to assist in overall maintenance between three apartment community locations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is detail-oriented. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following:
Essential Job Functions:
- Strong customer service for current and prospective residents.
- Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follows and maintains the preventative maintenance programs.
- Reviews work order priorities daily with the maintenance supervisor.
- Complete turn process for move outs and submit turn checklist upon completion.
- Identify problems with equipment or systems and perform repairs as needed.
- Inspect vacant apartments and inform the Maintenance Supervisor of required repairs and services.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and any inspections or tests conducted.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for employees and occupants.
- Share on-call responsibilities on an alternating schedule with the maintenance team.
- Monitor the physical condition of the community and immediately report any maintenance issues.
- Stay current with advancements in maintenance technology and techniques through ongoing education and training programs.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor by conducting inventory of supplies and parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Required to provide own (basic) hand tools
- May work an on-call schedule as required to meet the needs of the property
- Basic knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, paint/drywall and appliance repair
- HVAC, EPA., CPO certifications preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and institute PRM and industry standards
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
