Position Summary
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall curb appeal of a multifamily residential community(s). This role plays a critical part in creating a welcoming environment for residents, prospects, and guests by ensuring all outdoor areas and common spaces are consistently well-maintained and free of debris.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily cleanliness of the community, including breezeways, stairwells, sidewalks, parking lots, and amenity areas
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property, including pet waste stations and dumpster areas
- Perform routine landscaping duties such as mowing, edging, trimming shrubs, watering, and planting
- Assist in maintaining the overall curb appeal to meet company standards and resident expectations
- Inspect the property regularly and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or lease violations to management
- Clean and maintain community amenities such as pools, fitness areas (exterior), playgrounds, etc.
- Support the maintenance team with basic tasks and preventative maintenance projects
- Assist with seasonal duties such as leaf removal, pressure washing, and storm cleanup
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in groundskeeping, janitorial, or multifamily maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean community
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and reliability
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
Work Environment
- Outdoor, fast-paced multifamily community setting
- Regular interaction with residents, prospects, and team members
- Exposure to noise from equipment and varying weather conditions
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
