As an Window Teller, you’ll be the friendly face helping Harris County residents with essential vehicle registration, titling, licensing, and tax services. What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll deliver efficient, accurate, and courteous service while handling important transactions. Key responsibilities include:
Customer Service Excellence
Greet and assist residents at the service window with professionalism and care.
Provide clear, accurate information about vehicle and tax processes.
Resolve inquiries with patience, empathy, and attention to detail.
Transaction & Cash Handling
Process payments (cash, check, credit/debit, e-check) accurately.
Balance your cash drawer daily and prepare reconciliation reports.
Data Entry & Document Verification
Enter and maintain data in the state registration and licensing system.
Verify titles, IDs, and ownership documents for accuracy and authenticity.
Use state tools to help detect and prevent fraud.
Training & Certification
Complete an 8-week state-required training program before handling live transactions.
Shadow experienced staff and managers to gain hands-on knowledge.
Apply your training confidently in real-world customer interactions.
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED (U.S.-accredited, required)
At least 6 months of recent customer service experience with cash handling (retail, banking, or similar)
Typing speed of 30 WPM
Strong math, accuracy, and data entry skills
Dependability, professionalism, and excellent communication skills
Bonus: Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese (preferred, not required)
Position Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional Saturdays; travel may be required)
Pay: $15/hour, paid weekly
