About the Role
OpenLoop is looking for a People Operations Partner to join our team in a hybrid model at our HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our strategic people partners to work on contracts, ensure compliance with employment regulations, and support employees throughout the lifecycle. You’ll help drive operational excellence while ensuring a positive and informed employee experience.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the Strategic People Partners on contracts, compliance, and general People Operations initiatives.
- Process payroll for contractors and W2 employees accurately and on time.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and to ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and best practices.
- Act as a trusted resource for employees, addressing concerns, providing support and facilitating programs that drive morale and retention.
- Support the People Operations Coordinator in maintaining up-to-date employee records and changes.
- Support internal processes related to onboarding, off-boarding, and employee lifecycle events.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and other compliance-related initiatives.
- Help drive process improvements and contribute to People Ops projects that enhance the employee experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in HR or People Operations roles.
- 2-3 years of experience running payroll is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office/Google Workspace.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for creating exceptional employee experiences.
