Are you a hands-on craftsperson who enjoys variety in your workday? At Opening Specialists, Inc., we’re looking for a motivated and versatile Welder-Fabricator to join our growing team. This role offers much more than just shop welding — you’ll be fabricating, modifying, delivering, and problem-solving on a daily basis. No two days are the same.
Since 1998, we’ve provided quality doors, frames, and hardware solutions across Northeast Iowa and beyond. Our shop, just south of Holy Cross, serves as the heart of our operations. We’re proud of our team-focused culture and promote from within — whether into leadership roles like Shop Foreman or Shop Manager, or into other departments such as Sales, Estimating, or Project Management.

Key Responsibilities
- Welding & Fabrication: MIG welding and custom fabrication of commercial metal and wood doors and frames.
- Modifications & Prep: Modify doors/frames, prep components for delivery and installation.
- Deliveries: Drive to customer sites (within a 100-mile radius) to deliver frames, doors, and hardware.
- Shop Support: Assist with inventory, compile and stage orders, and maintain shop organization.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers during deliveries and represent the company professionally.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license (CDL not required)
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs regularly
- Basic computer literacy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with general shop tools (grinders, jigsaws, sanders, saws, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and take on various tasks

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
