Overview

At Opendorse, we sit on more athlete and NIL data than anyone in the industry - and we’re just getting started.

As the leading platform for athlete-brand partnerships, we’ve helped more than 140,000 athletes and thousands of brands connect and thrive in the NIL era. But we know the next frontier isn’t just partnerships - it’s intelligence.

Our data is rich, real-time, and full of stories waiting to be told. Now, we’re ready to turn that data into smarter decisions, predictive insights, and models that shape the future of athlete marketing.

We’re hiring a Data Scientist to join our team and help build that future.

You'll be in the data trenches – designing experiments, developing models, and creating dashboards that turn raw information into actionable insights. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves solving real business problems with data and wants their work to drive impact.

This is a dream opportunity for someone who sees data science not just as analysis, but as an innovation engine.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain efficient predictive models and statistical analyses that help us understand marketplace performance, athlete engagement, and revenue trends.
  • Develop clear, interactive dashboards and visualizations (Tableau) that communicate key results and drive decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates across Product, Engineering, and Revenue to connect data science to product outcomes.
  • Continuously refine models and analyses to improve accuracy and business value.
  • Design and interpret experiments and A/B tests to evaluate product and business strategies.
  • Stay curious and explore new tools, methods, and approaches to keep Opendorse at the leading edge of data innovation.

You'll Thrive If You

  • You love uncovering stories in data and turning insights into action.
  • You’re comfortable moving between analysis, modeling, and storytelling.
  • You’re excited to build models that directly impact product and business strategy.
  • You enjoy collaborating across teams and simplifying complex findings for different audiences.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with plenty of autonomy.

You Have Experience With (or similar tools)

  • Languages: Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels), SQL
  • Visualization: Tableau or similar BI tools
  • Data Warehouse:
    Snowflake
  • Other Tools: Fivetran or similar data integration platforms

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in Data Science, Applied Analytics, or a related role
  • Strong foundation in statistics, modeling, and experimentation
  • Experience building and evaluating predictive or classification models with real-world data
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Skill in designing dashboards and visualizations that influence decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Why Join Us?

At Opendorse, we don’t see data a byproduct but as our competitive advantage. You’ll join a remote-first team that’s collaborative, curious, and about helping athletes and brands win in the NIL era.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with one of the richest NIL datasets in existence and see your work drive tangible results across our marketplace and product.

Let’s use data to build the next generation of athlete marketing intelligence.
