Organic Social Lead

Opendoor
Opendoor Salary
Miami, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 1/5/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/10/2026
About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and resourceful Organic Social Lead to own and elevate Opendoor's presence across all social media platforms. As our dedicated organic social expert, you will be a one-person creative engine responsible for the entire content lifecycle—from initial concept to final post. This is a foundational role with the opportunity to define our voice, build our community, and create content that turns followers into fans and fans into customers.

You are a true creator at heart—a storyteller who can script, shoot, and edit compelling content independently. You live and breathe social trends and understand how to translate a powerful brand mission into platform-native content that stops the scroll. This role sits within the Growth organization and is perfect for a self-starter who thrives on autonomy and is excited to make a measurable impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop & Execute Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive organic social media strategy for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube, aligning with our brand narrative and business goals.
  • End-to-End Content Creation: Act as a self-contained creator: concepting, scripting, shooting, editing, and publishing a high volume of compelling content. This includes short-form video (Reels, TikToks), static graphics, carousels, and engaging stories.
  • Own the Calendar: Manage the day-to-day social media content calendar, ensuring a consistent and engaging cadence of high-quality content.
  • Community Engagement: Act as the voice of Opendoor, actively engaging with our community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and on-brand manner.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth, traffic) to inform and optimize your content strategy.
  • Trend Spotting: Stay on the cutting edge of social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to ensure Opendoor’s content is fresh, relevant, and innovative.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with the Brand, Content, and broader Growth marketing teams to create cohesive campaigns and amplify key company messages.
  • Manage external resources as needed: On larger projects, help brief and manage external creative resources.

What You'll Need

  • 4 years of hands-on experience managing and growing organic social media channels for a consumer brand.
  • A portfolio that showcases your ability to create high-performing social content from scratch, with a strong emphasis on short-form video.
  • Proven expertise as a solo creator, comfortable with every stage of production and requiring minimal oversight.
  • Proficiency with mobile-first video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, in-app platform editors) and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Figma).
  • Exceptional social-first copywriting skills, with the ability to craft compelling hooks and captions that capture attention and drive engagement.
  • A true self-starter attitude, with the ability to work quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You have a clear bar for when to ship a scrappy v1 versus a more polished piece of work.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Fluency with AI-assisted ideation and production tools to enhance creativity and efficiency. Familiarity with building reusable prompts or component kits is a huge plus.
  • A demonstrated ability to operate in fast cycles, turning around concepts in 24-48 hours and iterating multiple times a week based on performance.
