Oracle Database Developer (Production Support)

Location: Remote

Night Shift: Ideal hours are 3 AM EST to 12 PM EST; There is some flexibility if needed

Pay: $50-60/hr

Seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer with strong PL/SQL expertise to support mission-critical production systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ensuring database stability in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of hands-on experience and is comfortable providing off-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support for Oracle databases, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, packages, triggers, and scripts
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning improvements
  • Partner with application and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Support deployments, patches, and release activities
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and support runbooks
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and support off-hours maintenance or critical incidents

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of Oracle database development experience
  • Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Experience working in a production support or operations environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary : $50 - $60
