Position Summary:
- Client is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to support the firm’s growth. Client is rapidly expanding the scope of its business to include some of the most exciting technology developments driving the electric power industry today. Our clients include Fortune 50 companies and advanced energy iconoclasts seeking to deliver the energy transition. Candidates will be tasked with leading the delivery of advanced energy projects in a demanding environment.
- This role has three primary responsibilities:
- [60%] Be ultimately responsible for delivering quality services for complex engineering projects for an array of clients and generation technologies. This will require working directly with clients, organizing and managing subcontractors, leading project engineering teams, and, ultimately, providing a high-quality work product and service to our customers.
- [25%] Work alongside personnel managers to provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and project managers. This includes providing in-office support and leadership to help the team reach its full potential.
- [15%] Work with the Company leadership team to define, develop, and offer new engineering solutions and products. Help the client’s team identify new opportunities and launch new engineering services.
- You will report to the Director of Engineering. There are minimal travel expectations other than the occasional site visit or conference attendance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (minimum) or advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with a PE stamp preferable
- Minimum of 6-8 years work experience in electrical design engineering with a focus on renewable power systems and demonstrated track record for execution
- Deep experience with detailed engineering design requirements on complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Experience with key engineering studies (arc flash, harmonics, grounding, etc.)
- Familiarity with key engineering tools (AutoCAD, ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD) and/or the ability to learn them and teach to a broader team
- Experience/familiarity with energy markets, ISO/RTO operations, and electric power system interconnection
- Professionalism in all regards, high standards for deliverable quality, prompt and respectful communication etiquette, and keen attention to detail
- Aesthetic and design sensibilities in developing client-ready content
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise, and accessible way, both in person and in writing
- Natural tendency to take initiative independently, solve problems creatively, and pursue new skills or knowledge with vigor
- Self-manager
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
