Type: 6-12 Months, Contract to Hire, C2H.

Summary

Maintain and Develop Oracle EPM Cloud Financial Systems. Facilitate the migration of Oracle EPM Cloud objects from Development to Production environments. Provide problem-solving and technical support for all Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System components and troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis. Work closely with management and end-users to enhance application functionality.

Purpose/ Mission of Team: Administration and Development of EPM, EDM, PCM, Integrations, Task Manager, IPM, AI, Groovy, Business Rules.

Team Size: 3 EPM Developer/Admins

Major Responsibilities

Support & Maintenance

Identify, implement, and test patches and upgrades, and maintain up-to-date documentation of Oracle EPM Cloud-related configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve process, functional, and technical issues. Investigate issues in reports or cubes and provide root cause analysis. Recommend corrective actions for technical system issues, taking into account user needs and IT resources. Import and manipulate data from multiple disparate systems (SQL-based systems, flat files, Oracle EPM Cloud Enterprise, Essbase, and Oracle). Monitor application performance, availability, and utilization. Maintain accounting structures and outline metadata for online reporting. Schedule reports and scripts for automated execution. Provide user support, manage security, and fulfill other ad hoc requests.

Development

Create, modify, and maintain BSO and ASO Essbase cubes in Oracle EPM Cloud. Create, modify, and maintain Oracle EPM Cloud Planning applications. Create and maintain automation scripts, and maintain responsibility for creating and updating system documentation. Develop standard Smart View and Oracle EPM Cloud reports based on user specifications. Develop and modify calculation scripts, business rules, and Planning forms. Create load rules, batch processes, and scripts. Create and maintain security, security filters, and OCI Identity Management. Work closely with management and end users to develop and enhance application processes, creating a stable and productive environment.

Project Leadership

Lead business requirements documentation and ensure requirements and technical designs are well documented. Interface with users to gather requirements and document them clearly for development. Develop test plans, test scripts, and procedures, and lead the execution of testing cycles. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of new features and functionality. Propose and advise on long-term system planning and improvements. Design, modify, and review functional and system design specifications for business systems. Monitor Oracle EPM Cloud team deliverables to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and department goals are achieved. Track deliverables and project tasks in Jira.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the IT programming field.
• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System, Fusion Edition.
• Certification: Oracle EPM preferred

• Experience with financial and operational performance and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of Groovy, Business Rules, Calc Scripts, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle EPM Cloud Reports, and Smart View.
• Expertise in Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Windows, Project, Excel, and Word, preferred.
• This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
• Must possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with users on a daily basis to ensure project requests are accurate and timely.

The Business Systems Analyst 3 is responsible for the administration, development, support, and enhancement of Oracle EPM Cloud financial systems, including maintaining Oracle EPM Cloud Planning applications, BSO/ASO Essbase cubes, integrations, automation scripts, business rules, calculation scripts, Smart View and Oracle EPM reports, security, OCI Identity Management, and Oracle EPM Cloud object migrations between environments. The role includes troubleshooting technical and functional issues, performing root cause analysis, implementing patches and upgrades, monitoring system performance, managing metadata and reporting structures, supporting users, leading requirements gathering, documentation, testing, UAT, system design, long-term planning, and project tracking using Jira. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred), 8 years of IT programming experience, 5 years of hands-on Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (Fusion Edition) experience, and Oracle EPM certification is preferred. Must have hands-on expertise with Oracle EPM Cloud Performance Management, Planning, Shared Services, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Narrative Reporting, financial and operational performance reporting systems, Groovy, Business Rules, Calc Scripts, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle EPM Cloud Reports, Smart View, SQL-based data integration, Essbase, Oracle databases, OCI Identity Management, Microsoft Windows, Project, Excel, and Word, along with strong troubleshooting, secure information management, documentation, and business analysis capabilities.
