Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise plumbing teams on construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately install and repair plumbing systems.
- Perform plumbing system maintenance and repairs on domestic water systems, commercial plumbing setups, and HVAC-related piping.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, and construction regulatory standards.
- Manage construction estimating processes for plumbing projects, including material take-offs and cost assessments.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding apparatus, and other mechanical tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct building code analysis to ensure project compliance and resolve any code-related issues during construction or remodeling phases.
- Oversee pipe installation tasks such as pipe threading, assembly, heavy lifting, and managing complex plumbing schematics.
- Maintain excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, contractors, and team members regarding project progress or issues.
- Ensure proper management of construction site safety protocols while overseeing heavy lifting activities and field service operations.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction plumbing systems including residential and commercial applications.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, plumbing building codes, and construction regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in managing plumbing teams within a fast-paced construction environment.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems related to plumbing installations and maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for estimating materials and project costs accurately.
- Experience with remodeling projects, handyman tasks, or general construction site experience is a plus.
- Valid state licensing as a Master Plumber with a focus on leadership in managing complex projects safely and efficiently.
