Job Overview
We are seeking a Data Scientist with hands-on Generative AI (GenAI) experience and strong financial services / capital markets background. This role is focused on developing and enhancing machine learning and GenAI models used across asset classes such as Equities and Fixed Income.
Note: Candidates must already have financial services experience. This role is not suitable for candidates without capital markets exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve ML and statistical models across capital markets use cases
- Build predictive analytics solutions using AI/ML
- Design and implement GenAI solutions using LLMs, embeddings, and prompt engineering
- Evaluate and select open-source and commercial GenAI models
- Work closely with product and technology teams
- Perform daily data quality checks in production environments
- Support model performance, validation, and optimization
Required Qualifications (Strict)
- Advanced degree in Financial Engineering or Data Science (MANDATORY)
- 2 years of hands-on Data Science / ML experience
- Financial Services / Capital Markets experience (REQUIRED)
- Practical experience with LLMs / GenAI models
- Experience with Azure AI or OpenAI APIs
- Knowledge of LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks
- Strong skills in Python and SQL
- Experience with Azure ML and Excel
Candidates without finance domain experience will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and fine-tuning LLMs
- Understanding of Responsible AI, model governance, and risk controls
- Exposure to Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, or Counterparty Risk

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
