Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed service estimates using auto estimating software, ensuring transparency and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and recommended services
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
- Manage the service write-up process from initial intake through vehicle delivery, including cash handling and payment processing
- Maintain thorough documentation of all customer interactions, repair orders, and service histories
- Collaborate with mechanics and service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs such as diesel engine repair, auto body work, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and other automotive diagnostics
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, answering questions confidently, and ensuring customers leave satisfied with their experience
Experience
- Prior dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with automotive service management is a strong asset
- Proven ability in auto estimating, upselling services, and handling cash transactions accurately
- Hands-on mechanic or service technician experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of automotive repair specialties including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, alignment, suspension systems, tire service, brake repair, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and air brake systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of varying levels of automotive knowledge
- Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is advantageous but not required; a passion for cars and helping customers is essential
