Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining, configuring, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Help perform system and software upgrades, system backup, and recovery operations.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure security and efficiency.
  • Document IT supports activities and maintains records of system configurations and inventories.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Provide technical support to end users and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • This can include off-site visits to our contracted partners and brands.
  • Participate in IT projects under direct supervision, contributing to the deployment of new technologies and systems.
  • Assist in managing user accounts and permissions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support disaster recovery plans and participate in data integrity checks.
  • Participate in departmental on-call rotation, providing after-hours support as needed.
  • New and existing workstation relocations upon request.
  • Workstation reprovisioning of broken equipment
  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field and/or a combination of education and experience
  • Basic understanding of computer network systems, architecture, and terminology
  • Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux operating systems System Administrator I Job Description 2
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail

Preferred

  • 2 years’ experience in IT support or system administration
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Security , or vendor-specific certifications like CCNA, JNCIA or FCA
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and basic network configurations
