What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Design Intern position at Open Invite?
Hey! We're Open Invite.
A small (but growing) design studio working across music, entertainment, and hospitality.
We're looking for a Graphic Design Intern to support one of our most exciting clients - a fast-moving prediction markets platform with creative needs across sports, politics, and culture.
This isn't a "polish my comps" kind of role. We need someone who can take a half-baked idea and run with it. Someone who brings energy, taste, and a real point of view to every brief - not just technical execution.
This is a paid 3-month internship with a clear path to full-time for the right person.
What you'll be doing:
- Concepting and designing ad creative for campaigns
- Taking loose ideas and building them into fully realized visual directions
- Working across social, brand, and partnerships
- Keeping up with a fast production pace - we're talking days, not weeks
- Bringing fresh references, ideas, and energy to the table without being asked
What we're looking for:
- You live in Figma
- Fluent in the Adobe Suite - Illustrator and Photoshop are the essentials, more is better
- You're already using AI tools like Nano Banana, Higgsfield, ChatGPT… whatever's new
- You think like a creative first, a designer second
- You work fast without it showing
- Sports literacy is a genuine plus - knowing the culture makes the work better
What we're building:
Open Invite is a space where people come to bring their ideas to life and where creatives come to do their best work with good people. The goal is simple: make the process fun, collaborative, and genuinely exciting for everyone involved.
No cover letter needed. But when you apply, please include:
- Your favorite piece of work (and why you love it)
- Your favorite piece of someone else’s work (a designer, agency, anything)
- An are.na or Pinterest board if you have one—always love seeing what inspires you
