What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Process Coordinator (47232) position at OPEN HOUSE GROUP?
Overview:
We are seeking a highly driven and technically skilled Business Process Coordinator to support and optimize operations across multiple departments. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building practical solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
The Business Process Coordinator will serve as a key operational support resource, identifying workflow bottlenecks, streamlining manual processes, and developing automation tools using Python and/or Google Apps Script (GAS). Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and documentation.
This position is best suited for someone who is naturally curious, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from problem identification through implementation, reporting, and SOP creation.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical resource for all departments (Acquisition, Make Ready, Admin, etc.). You must be comfortable managing multiple requests simultaneously and prioritizing them based on business urgency.
- Identify manual, repetitive tasks and independently design and build automation tools using Python or Google Apps Script (GAS) to improve efficiency.
- Take full ownership of your projects by providing proactive status updates to the manager and stakeholders. You are expected to report progress and results "before being asked."
- Ensure long-term consistency by creating and maintaining clear, step-by-step Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every new process or tool developed.
- Perform "Self-QA" on all data and scripts to ensure error-free execution and maintain a "Single Source of Truth" for company operations.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a technical or operational role (System Engineering, App Development, or Tech-focused Business Support).
- Proficiency in Python or Google Apps Script (GAS) for task automation.
- Ability to extract and manipulate data (BigQuery experience is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate scripting and problem-solving.
- Ability to dive into messy data or broken workflows and find solutions without needing constant supervision.
- Resilience to handle various tasks from different stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a habit of providing regular, unsolicited updates on project status.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in both coding and documentation.
