We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead our suburban hotel property in Waterloo. Duties
- Lead and motivate the hotel team to deliver outstanding guest services, ensuring every visitor feels valued and cared for.
- Oversee daily operations including front desk management, guest relations, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage services.
- Manage hotel revenue by implementing effective pricing strategies, overseeing budgeting processes, and controlling expenses to meet financial goals.
- Supervise staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to build a high-performing team aligned with hospitality standards.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by resolving issues promptly and ensuring a memorable stay for all visitors.
- Oversee night audit procedures, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with hotel policies.
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase occupancy rates and enhance the hotel's reputation within the community.
- Utilize multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to handle inquiries efficiently and courteously.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and uphold high standards of cleanliness, security, and hospitality service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong background in revenue management, budgeting, and human resources within a resort or hotel setting.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele effectively.
