Anatomical Research Specialist

This position offers opportunities to contribute to research, with potential co-authorship on peer-reviewed scientific publications, while developing a diverse set of laboratory skills. This position involves work with human anatomical donors.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor's or Associate's Degree

· Motivation to contribute to scientific research

· Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly

· Willingness to work occasional weekend or evening hours when needed (compensated at a higher rate)

· Able to travel occasionally for off-site work (possibly up to a couple of times a year, which would be compensated at a higher rate)

· Professional appearance and demeanor

· Valid Driver's License

Helpful, but not required:

· Neuroscience experience

· Microscopy experience

· Anatomical experience

Job Responsibilities:

· Perform anatomical research procedures and laboratory work

· Perform cleaning responsibilities, including disinfecting workspaces

· Perform careful transport and respectful handling of anatomical donors

· Perform administrative duties, including phone calls to donors and their families

· Adhere to laboratory safety protocols

· Contribute to scientific paper writing

· Independently manage time

· Maintain confidentiality

Benefits include very good medical and dental insurance, 401k with match, paid holidays and paid time off (vacation or sick time). Wage for this position starts at $22.50-24.50/hr depending on experience, 40 hours/week.

Drug test and background check will be required. Applicant must live in or near Salem.
