Project Coordinator (Telecommunications / Fiber Optics

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized Project Coordinator to support large-scale fiber optic telecommunications construction projects. this role is responsible for coordinating underground utility construction activities, supporting project schedules, tracking production, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.

The ideal candidate has experience in telecom or underground utility construction, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate between field crews, subcontractors, municipalities, and internal teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact fiber infrastructure projects while working closely with construction managers, field crews, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate underground fiber construction projects from planning through completion
• Track project schedules, milestones, and production using various system such as Excel
• Support permit coordination, right-of-way requirements, and utility locate processes
• Maintain project documentation including work orders, change requests, and progress reports
• Communicate with construction crews, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project timelines
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or field issues
• Assist construction managers with daily reporting, production tracking, and scheduling updates
• Utilize Excel, and Telegram and other systems to track project status and coordinate communication with field teams
• Ensure construction activities follow safety standards and company procedures
• Support coordination of materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities across multiple job sites

Required Experience

• Experience supporting telecommunications, fiber optic, or underground utility construction projects
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills
• Experience managing project documentation, schedules, and reporting
• Proficiency using Excel, and Telegram and other systems for project coordination and communication
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
• Strong communication skills when working with field crews, contractors, and internal teams
• Basic understanding of underground utility construction practices and right-of-way work

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting fiber optic network construction or telecom infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with utility locates, permitting processes, and municipal right-of-way requirements
• Experience coordinating multiple field crews or subcontractors
• Knowledge of underground construction methods such as trenching, boring, and conduit installation
