JOB DESCRIPTION
Dentists working at Open Cities may be eligible for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corp.

DUTIES PERFORMED:
- Assists the Dental Director in developing guidelines for dental treatment and priorities for dental care at OCHC.
- Examines, diagnoses, and establishes treatment plans for patients.
- Provides dental treatments and/or refers patients to the appropriate agency or professional individual when indicated.
- Provides emergency services to patients as needed.
- Performs other clinical duties as assigned by the Dental Director.
- Performs quality assurance audits and peer reviews as assigned.
- Provides dental education to clinic clients in individual or group settings.
- Maintains accurate and complete patient records within the EMR and closes out accounts according to clinic standards.
- Provide direction to the assigned dental assistant and work closely with the assigned dental hygienist to provide effective team-based patient care.
- Provides clinical supervision to Dental Therapist(s).
- Shares on-call duties for the dental department.
- Participates in staff and clinic meetings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited dental school with a D.D.S., D.M.D., or equivalent degree.
- Current licensure to practice dentistry in Minnesota.
- Ongoing BLS certification.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and interactive personal relational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in an FQHC or with underserved patients.
- Fluency in Somali, Spanish, or Hmong.
- Residency training.
- Experience and expertise in endodontics or pediatric dental care.
Salary : $175,000 - $190,000
