Open Bible Medical Clinic and Pharmacy is Christian based non-profit operated by volunteer medical providers, Pharmacists, and administrative professionals. We exist to show & share the love of Jesus by providing free access to medical care and life saving medications to the uninsured, low-income adults in the Pikes Peak Region.
We are seeking a Medical Assistant or Nurse to serve as our Clinic Coordinator/Administrative assistant between two practices. This position will be responsible for Patient Eligibility registration process, appointment scheduling, clinic workflow and coordinating the volunteer force, as well as coordinating the patients’ eligibility – registration process and other administrative procedures.
Must be passionate about working with people - patients, volunteers, and staff - creative, caring, patient, skilled and flexible. The ideal candidate will have strong organization and communication skills, working knowledge of access to care within the El Paso County’s health care landscape.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant or Nurse. Minimum of years’ experience in a clinical setting. Proficient with medical terminology and navigating within an Electronic Medical record. Organized, detail oriented, possess good written and verbal communications skills, able to multitask and be proficient in Microsoft Office Products. Experience in providing spiritual care in a faith based Non-profit a strong plus. Preferred fluent Spanish.
Work Schedule: Tuesday 2:00pm to 9:00pm, Thursdays 9:30am-2:30pm and Saturdays 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Job Type: 17 hours a week with potential to grow the position to 28 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
- EMR adminsitrator
- In a friendly and courteous manner, greets and escort all patients to exam rooms and prepares them for examination.
- Enters Health & Physical information from patient into electronic medical record
- Maintains timely flow of patients to exam rooms.
- Prepares exam rooms; restocks supplies; sterilizes necessary instruments.
- Labels specimens to be sent to the laboratory.
- Obtains lab and test results and places the results in the patient chart.
- Obtains height/weight and vital signs from patient.
- Ensures that lab reports, histories, and/or test results are in the patient record at the time of their appointment.
- Set-up and assists providers with minor procedures and treatments as directed. Fill’s Rx as directed.
- Accompanies patients to designated areas to schedule test, procedures, and surgeries.
- Attends required meetings and trainings as requested.
- Takes telephone messages. Documents telephone conversations with patient.
- Orders diagnostic procedures as appropriate to program protocol and as directed by the provider.
- Serves as a liaison between physician and patient, facilitating communication.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly duties such as: inspecting and replacing sharps containers, cleaning autoclave, preparing spore count cultures from the autoclave and forwarding to the lab, recording lab results and performing contraceptive inventory.
- Performs clerical duties: answer phones, filing, data entry, confirming clients, iCare Documentation.
- Provides administrative support for patient care: print schedule, oversees pateint eligibility process, Fills Medical records request, Uploads labs and imaging to EMR, coordinates diagnostics.
- Care coordination and patient navigation support: Ensure social determinates of health screenings are complete, lab results, schedule mammograms, follow-up on referrals, support clients with questions/needs/paperwork and enter referrals in Coordinated Access To Community Health Network (CATCH)
- Conduct chart Audits; participate in site visits
- Prepare Monthly Reports
