DSP (Adult Day Services - Data Crew Leader)

The Data Crew Leader is responsible for the vocational training, supervision, and employment support of individuals with developmental disabilities in an adult day services environment. A Crew Leader will provide ongoing mental, emotional, physical, and behavioral support to individuals at the day services site and at locations in the community.

The Data Crew Leader focuses on teaching vocational skills such as data entry, typing, computer use, document management, and related skills. Teaching skills and vocational lessons is a primary duty of this position. Participation in transportation services each day is also required.

Required Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass a criminal BCI/FBI background check and not be listed on any abuser registries that restrict employment.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, including zero at-fault accidents.
• Have the ability to drive larger vehicles, including passenger vans and/or wheelchair accessible vehicles, or the willingness to learn.
• Be able to competently read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
• Be comfortable with regular use and teaching of technology and systems (i.e., computers, iPads, smartphone applications).
• Have the ability to pass CPR and First Aid certification courses.
• Be able to meet the physical, emotional, and mental demands to fulfill all job responsibilities and duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of experience working with or providing care for individuals who have developmental disabilities, including the implementation of teaching strategies, skill acquisition techniques, and behavioral support.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to individuals with developmental disabilities in general employment and crew-specific skills, supervise workflow, and monitor crew members to ensure safety within a day services group, both on-site and in the community.
• Discover training and literacy needs, and provide clear feedback through effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Manage time effectively, ensure the accurate completion of employment contracts, and maintain desired levels of quality assurance and service delivery.
• Daily participation in providing Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) services.
• Assist with meal preparation, personal care, and other health-related activities, as needed.
• Fulfill all aspects of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and service delivery, including working on outcomes, daily and monthly documentation, and participation in service and support planning.
• Be dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, organized, observant, goal-oriented, flexible, and adaptable throughout each shift.
• Respond appropriately and provide care in behavioral, emergency, and crises, including reporting of incidents.
• Maintain and comply with all workplace health and safety standards, regulations, and procedures.

Supervision

A Crew Leader reports to the branch Director of Operations and/or a Chief Officer, whichever applies.

Work Expectations

This position is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (40 hours/week). It is generally full-time, but hours may vary depending on the needs of the branch and occasionally extend beyond 3:30 pm.

Work is primarily on-site and facility-based. Travel may regularly be required throughout the community as part of driving, crew contracts, and/or community engagement duties, but the shifts typically begin and end at the branch location.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
