What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP)-CPS position at Open Arms Group Inc?
This is an entry level position providing service/support to individuals participating in (IHCS) In Home and Community Supports. As a (DSP) Direct Support Professional you will be providing supports to adults with intellectual disabilities promoting/providing respect, care, encouragement and dignity. You will encourage normal community activities, socialization, independence and personal choice. Additional responsibilities include providing a safe and sanitary environment, assisting individuals with daily living activities, assist with achieving successful goal and outcomes, daily documentation, therapeutic and rehabilitating activities. Any additional job duties/responsibilities will be provided in Dreams In Motion II trainings.

Tools Needed:
Education: (high school diploma/GED)
-must be 18 years of age
-valid pa-nj-de driving license
-(2) years driving experience
-Minimum of 2 years experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day Shift
- Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations:
To Keep our staff and individual safe we do daily temperature checks, sanitize our vehicles , provide face mask, gloves, hand sanitizer, and trainings
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Caregiving: 2 years (Preferred)
